Ratings

The ratings for this site will be the motion picture ratings system for all stories.  There is no way for regulation on this site for unaccompanied minors or otherwise.  There will, however, be a warning on all material and disclaimers.  Anyone caught with material not suited for their age group will suffer the consequences of their own state laws, community laws and/or other regulated law.  This site cannot and will not be responsible for any illegal participation of any individual – they are responsible for themselves in accordance to their own laws of any form.  Please be aware of these ratings and take in consideration your own responsibility for yourself and your community.

Below is a list of ratings that will be used on this site.  Island Sweetheart’s THE NET will rarely post anything beyond R; there will be forewarnings on all material if it does.

Authors Note to Younger Audience/Readers:

Be and do take care of what you read online or anywhere else.  There is little regulation on what we readers can read and what we can’t read and what we shouldn’t read.  I must tell you that reading is what builds the minds of new generations and makers of change or of inquisitive, future leaders… It is what you fill your head with that helps mold you to be the better person for tomorrow.  So I tell you that you must try to comply with the rules because they are there to protect your young minds form the strange forms of evils that will inevitably come your way.  But… stay young, be innocent.  It’s the last time you’ll be able to think as freely innocent as you can.

Unrestricted

• G - General Audiences - All age admitted.
• PG - Parental Guidance Suggested - Some material may not be suitable for childrent.
• PG-13 - Parents Strongly Cautioned - Some of this material may be inappropriated for children under 13.

Restricted

• R - Restricted - Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult 21 or older.
• NC-17 - NO ONE 17 and under can read this.  Contains lot of graphic violence, sex, aberrational behavior, drug abuse, strong language, or any other elements which - when present - most parent would consider too strong and therefore off-limits for viewing by their children and tees.

Others

• NR - means NOT RATED which means there hasn't been an official rating yet.
• M - Mature audiences ONLY.
• GP - means GENERAL AUDIENCES  - parental guidance suggested.
• SMA - Suggested for matured audiences.  Not official but means it is "cautionary" due to violence or mature themes.
• XXX - the precursor to the current NC-17 but for this site, it means that any fanfiction or original work, here on Island Sweetheart's THE NET, will be aimed at only sex, graphic sex or anything of that nature.
  • The term Lemon or Lime will be used for stories that contain any sex or of that nature.
    • Lime means soft XXX.
    • Lemon means hard XXX.
